ONIREAL ENGINE

This game engine had a minor role in the NO MORE HEROES series. It was the product of Onireal, Inc., and was used in the creation of the DEATH DRIVE 68000 video game GODDAMN SUPERHERO, along with a second engine called DRILL ENGINE. Its logo was a simple hexagon with the face of an oni at the center. The name ONIREAL had two meanings, as Oni was both a creature in Japanese folklore and also a slang word meaning “super.”
