This survival horror game was developed by students at Media Design School in 2010. It was enrolled in the 2011 Independent Games Festival in the Student Competition category, however, it was not chosen as a finalist and ultimately the winning title was FRACT from the University of Montreal. While the game had original cover art of its own, a bootleg was later distributed that included a new cover heavily edited from the one NO MORE HEROES used in the PAL regions. Destructoid journalist Jonathan Holmes gave SUDA51 a copy of this bootleg in 2018 as a gift when celebrating GRASSHOPPER MANUFACTURE‘s 20th anniversary.
NO MORE GENTLEMEN was likely never meant to be connected to NO MORE HEROES. Instead, the game was set in a Victorian mansion following a confrontation between gentlemen William Braxley, Charles Foxworthington, and Benjamin Huffington, and one of their peers, a man named Vincent, who they accused of being unchivalrous. Vincent transformed into a beast and escaped from the other men, as waves of zombies began breaking into the mansion.
The lead artist on the game, Gregor Czaykowski, later went on to create the webcomic Loading Artist.
