Stranded Ship

This American research vessel had a minor role in the Silver Case series. It ran aground on an atoll north of Lospass Island around 1961. While it was unclear why the ship sailed so close island, there were still residents on Lospass 40 years later who remembered the accident. Over time, a tunnel formed connecting the remains of the vessel with Eleki Island, south of Lospass. In 2001, Sumio Mondo encountered Tokio Morishima onboard the derelict ship, where he explained Lospass‘ relationship with Elbow and its attempts to produce silver eyes.
