DEATH DRIVE

This video game had a minor role in the NO MORE HEROES series. It was a shooter video game developed by John Winter at HAZRE Inc. and released in 1981. Originally built as an arcade game with vector graphics, the game was later partially ported to the DEATH DRIVE MK2 by Dr. Juvenile. In DEATH DRIVE, players aimed to take out the core of an alien mothership, while evading asteroid chunks and homing missiles. Travis Touchdown was transported into DEATH DRIVE after entering an incomplete Death Ball for another game, KILLER MARATHON. After returning home, Travis reflected on the times he played DEATH DRIVE as a child, recalling how the vector lighting seemed to pull him into another dimension, and pondered if Juvenile was inspired by the same feeling when she created the DEATH DRIVE MK2.
