TRAVIS STRIKES AGAIN: NO MORE HEROES Japan Expo preview script

TRAVIS STRIKES AGAIN: NO MORE HEROES was previewed at six gaming conventions in 2018. These were GDC from March 19–23, PAX East from April 5–8, Hinode Power Japan from April 28–29, Japan Expo from July 5–8, Gamescom from August 21–25, PAX West from August 31–September 3 and BitSummit Roadshow Tokyo on September 19.

These previews had dialogue unique to each convention, with some even referencing past conventions. Some of the scripts from these specialized previews were better documented than others. The following partial script is for the preview of the game at Japan Expo 2018.

Script

Electro Triple Star:

• Autrement dit le héros du jeu mythique Electric Thunder Tiger !

Travis Touchdown:

Some of Travis‘ responding lines from this version are lost.

• J’adorais less designs industries bien barrés, et ton canon Heavy Boost avait trop la classe !

Electro Triple Star:

• Hmm, un canon qui a la classe ?
• Tu veux parler de⋯
• ⋯ Celui-ci ?

Electro Triple Star launches his Heavy Boost at Travis.

Travis Touchdown:

• Espèce d’enfoiré ! Attaquer pendant les cinématiques, c’est de la triche !

Electro Triple Star:

• Allons, c’est la Japan Expo ! Les joueurs ont plein d’autres démos géniales à essayer sur le stand Nintendo.
• Je vois que tu as un T-shirt de Dead Cells : savais-tu qu’il y a une démo du jeu pas loin d’ici ?
• J’essaie simplement de te faire gagner du temps pour aller essayer Dead Cells au plus vite !

Travis Touchdown:

• Dis donc, si t’es généreux à ce point, tu pourrais pas plutot niquer ta propre barre de vie ?

Electro Triple Star:

• Ha ! D’accord. Je vais te laisser 5 secondes pour me⋯
• Non attends, au Bit Summit, ils avalent quand même bien galéré.
• Cette fois, je vais être sympa et te laisser me frapper pendant 15 secondes !

Travis Touchdown:

• Y a rien de plus électrisant qu’un bon combat de Boss !

Electro Triple Star:

• Oh oui, je te promets que ce sera électrique !

Notes

• Electro Triple Star attacked Travis Touchdown before their battle began. This did not occur in the published game but it did take place in every other preview.
• Electro Triple Star‘s Big Cannon was called the Heavy Boost at this stage of development. This was changed from previous versions, in which it was called the Hover Boost.
• Electro Triple Star mentioned the BitSummit convention.
• Electro Triple Star‘s reason for attacking Touchdown was changed for the first time in this preview. In previous versions, he simply wanted to move players along. In the Paris Expo preview, he specifically wanted to usher players over to the Dead Cells booth.
