This website preserves and analyzes the works of SUDA51 and GRASSHOPPER MANUFACTURE. It was founded by Xed51 in 2009, following the dissolution of Killer 7 SINdicate at GameSpy. Xed51 had recently been given ownership of Killer 7 SINdicate, and constructed Paradise Hotel 51 to match the chaotic design established by Topdrunkee thy ILLnificent in the previous site. Paradise Hotel 51 has sponsored many scans produced by Bigmanjapan, and its staff have consulted with Lost in Cult on KILL THE PAST: 25 Years of Grasshopper Manufacture. Paradise Hotel 51 and Death Blow Icons have also crossed paths on some projects.
Paradise Hotel 51 has a fictional history partially inspired by killer7, including multiple characters inspired by the site’s staff. The complete team is not identified publicly, and besides Xed51, when members attend conventions, they generally preserve their anonymity.
